losing you
would be like
losing a part of my body
it'd be hard to function

a smile not really complete
a laugh lacking a little melody
there are just pieces of me
that would work better
knowing i have you by my side
saying goodbye
even just for a moment
still seems like a good song ending
saying i miss you
every so often
just don't do the trick no more
having you here
is a little different
from having you near
but knowing
that under the same sky
we reminisce of good times etched
i know
i'm going to be alright
and i wont tire
saying i miss you
and see you soon
knowing that one day
those words will be just
a hello
